 The uncle from Naples You have to come to us and serve the people of Bremen the real Neapolitan pizza!” These words are still in my head. For years, my niece had repeatedly asked me to fulfill her wish. At some point it was really time.


My name is Emanuele Piacevole and I'm from Naples. With my wife Rosa and my sister Concetta, I traveled from Naples, the Italian capital of pizza, to Bremen. In 2019 we opened the Zio Manu di Napoli - translated as “The Uncle from Naples” - on the former Kelloggs premises, where employees used to change.

Here you will find us in a special ambience in the midst of traditional industrial architecture, rustic furniture and of course a typical Italian stone oven for baking pizza. Our Valoriani dome oven can be heated to over 400°C - looking at it almost makes you feel as if you are dining somewhere in the middle of Naples.

Our philosophy: Original Neapolitan pizza based on original recipes. This includes the best ingredients from Italy.

We use organic tomatoes from the foot of Vesuvius, Fior di latte (Mozzarella made from cow's milk) and Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP (Mozzarella made from buffalo milk) from Campania, Taggiasca olives from Liguria, Parmigiano Reggiano aged 24 months and the best olive oil DOP.

Critical for the particularly authentic taste experience: the pizza base must be light and fluffy. In order for this to succeed, we let the dough rest for at least 30 hours before baking.

Another special feature on our menu is the fried pizza: a Neapolitan street dish that is visually reminiscent of a calzone. It's delicious - you have to try it!
